Whether it's your back, your hip, your foot, or something nobody has been able to figure out yet, you're in the right place.

I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor when I was fourteen years old. I grew up around it, my uncle is a chiropractor, my cousin is a chiropractor, and my mother-in-law is a chiropractor, so I had a front-row seat to what this work looks like when it's done well. That early exposure shaped everything about how I approach patient care, and it is part of why I take it seriously in the way that I do.
I graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2010 and spent the next sixteen years practicing in Kansas City, coastal Maine, and Portland, Oregon before coming home to Springfield to be closer to family. Across every city and every patient, one thing has stayed constant: my belief that people deserve thorough, honest, unhurried care.
I see patients for the full range of chiropractic care, from everyday back and neck pain to complex chronic histories. If you are looking for a skilled chiropractor in Springfield, you are in the right place regardless of your history, your health background, or your body size.
Where I go a little deeper than most is extremity work. Foot and ankle pain, hip problems, shoulder issues, wrist pain, joint stiffness that has been written off or worked around for years, these are areas I find genuinely interesting to treat and where I consistently see strong results.
I also hold an active acupuncture license and bring additional training in Body Trust and Intuitive Eating frameworks into how I talk with patients about their bodies and their pain.
My path to weight-neutral care was personal before it was professional. I went through my own process of changing my relationship with my body, and in doing that work I discovered Health at Every Size principles and the research behind them. What I found was compelling and honestly a little hard to sit with: weight stigma is a significant driver of health disparities in larger people, not the weight itself. Providers who focus on body size as the problem often miss the actual problem entirely, and their patients leave feeling worse than when they walked in.
That is not the kind of provider I want to be. I am the only HAES-informed chiropractor in Springfield, and I built this practice around the belief that feeling safe and comfortable with a provider who touches your body is not a luxury. It is the baseline. There are no weigh-ins here, no body commentary, and no suggestion that you need to change before you deserve good care.
In addition to seeing patients at Whole Heart, I teach continuing education courses to other healthcare providers through my weight-inclusive care training work at weightinclusivecaretraining.com. Helping other clinicians understand weight-neutral, evidence-based practice matters to me because the more providers who practice this way, the better it is for every patient who walks through any door.
